Reliability and credibility of sustainability information within the annual report are becoming more important in today's society. The EU Green Deal is driving a major initiative to link financial KPIs to environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics. Increasingly, financial accounting and reporting skills are required for high quality non-financial ESG reporting. Do you want to help KPMG in transitioning its ESG reporting towards CSRD? Jouw uitdagingen
• Working on a complex (sustainability) reporting project;
• Supporting KPMG in advising how to interpret new sustainability requirements and help KPMG get future proof;
• Adapting easily while working with different departments;
• Developing yourself as subject matter expert in accounting and ESG reporting.
Dit neem jij mee
• Master studies in Accounting or Control or other relevant studies;
• (Almost) certified accountant (RA, ACCA, CPA, other relevant studies);
• Experience with and sound knowledge of CSRD, GRI and the Corporate Governance Code;
• 7-8 years of relevant working experience;
• A critical mindset;
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills, ability to work under pressure;
• Work independently and enjoy the challenge of working with multiple stakeholders;
• Excellent communication skills, also in writing.
Wat ga jij doen in deze functie?
Your role will be a combination of accounting and sustainability reporting. As part of our Corporate Control team you will be responsible for transitioning KPMGs ESG reporting towards CSRD. Activities include, but are not limited to:
• Translating CSRD requirements into concrete information requirements for KPMGs annual integrated report and analysing consequences for internal reporting and processes as well;
• Improving accuracy and completeness of ESG KPIs and other information to be reported, including setting up a solid audit trail, in cooperation with various departments in the organisation;
• You have good process knowledge and are capable of identifying risks/ defining control measures to improve reliability of data;
• Liaison between the organisation and the external auditor with respect to ESG;
• Playing an active role in the multidisciplinary team to establish a sound Integrated Report;
• Monitoring consistency between our Integrated report and the financial statement disclosures;
• Actively providing our CFO, Director Corporate Control en Finance department insights into changed regulations, keeping track of internal and external developments.
