Business Development Manager Cyber Security & Privacy

As a Business Development manager, you are responsible for a new business opporuntities within the Technology accounts and support commerical needs with team capabilities. You work closely together with the Senior Sales Manager as well as Partners and Directors t ensure the sales infrastructure operates effectively. You have a solid understanding of KPMG’s business and financials, Technology offerings and USP’s, the market and the needs of assigned Key Performance Indicators.

Your challenges

People Development: Motivates and influences colleagues across the team to adopt a commercial mindset. May lead colleagues in the sales process to surface, develop and prioritize opportunities.

Business development: Provides support to realize agreed account and business plans for a specific set of clients. Sets-up business development and sales activities in cooperation with other Sales roles and/or Directors or Partners on accounts or sectors. Is knowledgable and experienced with lead qualification and prospect qualification. Prepares and supports on sales pitches and presentation development.

Networking: Starting to expand network within and outside KPMG NL. Utilizes internal network to find sales opportunities for clients within and outside the Technology department. Builds relationships with potential new clients through events and proactive targeting.

Business Acumen: Has a solid understanding of business, financials, KPMG Technology products / solutions and the market. Includes taking ownership on the development, implementation and oversight on sales processes. Ensures the sales activities are aligned with business strategies, optimizing sales workflows and implementing sales tools and technlogies to inprove outcomes. Is up to date on recent market trends and movements within the industry and has a good understanding on how KPMG NL Technology’s products and solutions link in with these trends.

Stakeholder Management: Interacts with senior management stakeholders within the client organization on topics related to potential sales opportunities, requiring strong influencing skills. Identifies sales opportunities within the existing portfolio.

  • Fluent in both Dutch and English (verbal and written)
  • B2B sales specifically in consultancy & related services
  • Strong analytical skills and technical proficiency
  • Proficiency in marketing, goal setting, and lead qualification
  • Experience in proposition presentation development and pitching
  • Ideally, this is your second or third job
  • Team-oriented mindset believes in collective wins
  • Strong organizational skills and efficiency
  • Curious, confident, and humble demeanour
  • Pro-active and independent with a hunter mentality, not afraid to organize and plan value-added exchanges with clients.

What will you do in this position?

  • Develop new business opportunities to exceed revenue objectives for the firm’s service portfolio in key existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with senior management on refining action plans to identify potential business avenues and growth.
  • Support RFPs and service offerings alignment.
  • Drive initiatives within the practice, endorsing the company's commitment to being a premier workplace.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor actions, and client feedback, leveraging these insights for strategic growth and competitive differentiation.
  • Support the Cyber and Privacy Commercial Lead in:
  • Conducting commercial and financial evaluations to discern market dynamics and shape growth strategies.
  • Maintain and support accurate records on commercial activities, customer interactions, and sales prospects in the CRM software and defined processes.
  • Coach and mentor team members for both their professional and personal growth.
