Our CMAAS (Capital Markets Audit Accounting Services) department provides accounting and financial reporting advice to clients on a wide range of transactions and events, including adherence to new or revised accounting standards and effective management of the financial reporting processes.
Accounting and reporting questions often arise when an organization has to deal with special transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, or an initial public offering (IPO), debt refinancing or restructuring. Complex financial challenges also arise as a result of changes in reporting standards, such as the new ESG-reporting standards and EU-taxonomy.
We combine our knowledge of financial reporting with sector-specific experience and project management skills and come to effective solutions for complex reporting issues.

Our subteams
Technical Accounting support
As part of the Technical Accounting proposition, your main focus is providing technical advice, using your Dutch GAAP, IFRS and/or US GAAP knowledge. You are (becoming) an all-round GAAP expert or specialist on specific topics.
Transaction Based support
When involved with our Transaction based support, your main focus lies on transaction driven engagements, working with other KPMG departments like Transaction Services and Valuations.
Sustainability reporting
In this team your main focus lies on reporting beyond the financial statements, assisting with ESG, CSRD and EU Taxonomy related advice, including disclosure of environmental and social performance and climate-related financial risks.
Finance department support
We often support our clients’ Finance departments, where our focus is mainly on the process side of reporting, working from ‘the other side of the table’. Assisting clients in periods of change, including project management.
IPO / IPO Readiness
When involved in our IPO support work your main focus is advising clients in the process of an IPO or the preparation thereof (e.g. performing a readiness scan).
