Your challenges

The role of a manager can vary depending on the industry (focus on FMCG, Retail, Energy & Utilities and Discreet Manufacturing) and the specific needs of the organization. In general, our managers must combine good knowledge of the business needs and goals of the organization, with the functional and technical understanding of the technologies they are working with.

A couple of things to give more perspective on the challenges we bring to you:

  • Overall, a manager plays a critical role in helping organizations leverage their technology to achieve their business goals and objectives in the Sales & Distribution domain
  • Working with external and internal stakeholders to ensure that the solution meets their needs and is aligned with the organization's goals
  • Analyzing business requirements/use cases and identifying required technology solutions/configurations that will meet those requirements
  • Developing detailed plans and strategies for implementing SAP Sales & Distribution technology solutions
  • Advise on technical integration of the SAP application with other client and 3rd party tools/applications
  • Advise on Sales & Distribution/ enterprise data modelling including data migration and data integrity as part of the deployment engagement
  • Identifying potential risks and issues and developing plans to mitigate them
  • Lead the growth of our SAP Sales & Distribution capabilities through sharing knowledge, developing thought leadership and supporting the career aspirations of team members
  • Building long lasting relations with your clients

This is what you bring

  • Completed Bachelor/Master’s degree studies
  • 6+ years of SAP Sales & Distribution consulting experience with deep understanding and functional knowledge in the solutions area S/4HANA (SD)
  • Proven record of consulting experience for large scale SAP transformation programs (requirements analysis, design, build and deployment experience)
  • A proactive communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in English language and Dutch oriented and/or willing to learn fast

What will you do?

As a manager, you are the linking pin between business and IT in understanding and translating business and functional requirement to SAP Sales & Distribution solutions that allow our customers to move to the next generation SAP technology S/4HANA, Central Finance, SAP Analytics Cloud, and BTP. The main responsibility of a manager is to lead the Sales & Distribution track of large scale S/4HANA transformations. You’ll work in multidisciplinary teams and are supported by the large community of experts throughout the KPMG organization. You’re involved in all phases of a transformation: from acquisition, strategy and analysis towards design and implementation. There are huge opportunities to gain more knowledge, enforce your skillset, and experience during the phases of a transformation.Of course you will not do this alone but as part of a team. KPMG has a world-class accelerated Enterprise Business Transformation approach called Powered Enterprise for cloud-based solutions that uses pre-designed back-office leading practices and KPMG’s six-layer Target Operating Model. This includes our best practice approach for Sales & Distribution processes (setup customer master data & credit, pricing strategy, sales order promising strategy, quote management, customer contract lifecycle management, order & fulfilment management, subscription management and billing management). This enables clients to make better, faster decisions, resulting in a quicker implementation and a faster path to Return on Investment. This solution combines the breadth and scale of KPMG’s leading practice, capabilities and insight into a complete solution for an effective back-office.

The Powered Apps teams are communities of technology focused professionals who work together to deliver KPMG Powered Enterprise through a standardized delivery model, which drives professional delivery to clients. The international teams use their functional knowledge and experience (e.g. Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement), coupled with their expertise in the cloud applications (e.g. SAP, Ariba) to lead and deliver client programs, support pre-sales activities and develop improvement and extensions to Powered Enterprise.

Step 1. Your application

Have you applied? Then you will receive an invitation for the KPMG Talent Pitch immediately after your application. In the Talent Pitch, we not only get to know you, but you also get to know us better. We will also give you a tour of the world of KPMG. During the pitch, you will complete a personality questionnaire and take an aptitude test. 

Step 2. The first interview

After completing the KPMG Talent Pitch, we will invite you for a first interview with a recruiter. In some cases, a colleague from the relevant department will also be present at the interview. This interview is a mutual introduction, where you also get the chance to ask all the questions you probably have. 

Step 3. Follow-up interview

Did you have a positive conversation and are you still enthusiastic? If we also see a match, a second meeting will follow. In this second interview, we will delve deeper into the role and the substantive themes you will be dealing with. You may be asked to prepare a business case for the interview. Sometimes there is a final interview. 

Step 4. Offer

Is there a match? Then we will make you an offer and hopefully you will start at KPMG soon. The offer will not only include your salary but also all our employment conditions, such as your pension, vacation days, and more! Do you agree with our offer? Step 5. Screening
