Proud to be Minal
In our “Proud to be…” series, we turn the spotlight on the remarkable individuals from the LGBTQI+ community within KPMG. Today, we celebrate Minal, a talented manager in the Audit department. Minal comes from South Africa, where he faced difficulty in expressing himself openly within his community. Luckily, his move to the Netherlands was the start of a new and transformative chapter in his life.
Welcomed by a warm and diverse community
Minal’s arrival in the Netherlands introduced him to a warm, open and diverse community that embraced him for who he is, an environment where he could freely express himself without fear or hesitation of what his colleagues might think. To Minal, the concept of ‘come as you are’ embodies the freedom that allows him to be his authentic self. At KPMG, he found an environment where being true to oneself is not only welcomed but also encouraged!
Contributing to Positive Change
Minal’s passion for fostering inclusivity led him to join the Pride Board at KPMG. As part of this community, Minal actively participates in organizing activities that raise awareness about LGBTQI+ rights and create positive societal change.
