Working Pro Bono to help Stichting Re-Boost develop a Social Impact Measurement Model

At KPMG we strive to take on projects which benefit people and society. This is what we do for our clients. When you work with KPMG, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in pro bono projects and make an immediate and personal impact on peoples’ lives.

Algemeen

Recently our colleagues (Jan-Willem Noorlander, Stefanie Lentfert, Fenna Hovinga, Lotti Van der Arend en Kristian Boot) worked together with Stichting Re-Boost – an organization  committed to helping troubled adolescents “re-boost” their lives with coaching and activities through their Booster Programs.

Because the Stichting is reliant on funding, it needs to show potential donors/contributors the beneficial impact that Re-Boost brings to society in providing these programs. And that’s where KPMG helped a hand .

Developing a Social Impact Measurement Model

KPMG was asked to develop a Social Impact Measurement Model. Several KPMG colleagues collaborated with Re-Boost from February 2022 to June 2022 – introducing  the Social Impact Measurement Model and a newly introduced deliverable allowing Re-Boost to measure their participants' improvement on several developmental goals.

The Model – offering a clear view of valuable work

The Social Impact Measurement Model  provides a clear view of the valuable work that Re-Boost delivers to external parties, as the model contains quantified data from (former) participants, showing in various graphs when a participant developed him/herself positively as a direct result of one of their programs, and this data can be used to substantiate their funding applications to third parties.

With this model, Re-Boost can grant applications to governmental entities, municipalities, and other organizations.

The Social Impact Measurement Model provides a clear view of the valuable work that Re-Boost delivers to external parties.

Benefits on Both Sides

Not only Stichting Re-Boost benefited from the engagement, but also KPMG’s consultants look back on a very valuable experience The assignment is smaller, has a very practical approach and challenges you to make it as practical as possible. Above all, it is a very fun way to make some real impact.

We were also challenged to make it as practical as possible. Above all, it was a very fun way to make some impact.
