Within KPMG Technology, our SAP Test practice plays a key role in delivering high‑quality S/4HANA transformations for leading organisations. As an SAP Test Manager, you work hands‑on across complex SAP programmes while supporting the practice lead in managing the team and further strengthening our SAP Testing capability. You combine project delivery with internal responsibilities: contributing to proposals and RFPs, supporting commercial activities, and helping shape how we develop, position, and communicate our SAP Test services in the market. Working closely with colleagues across the SAP domain, you help improve our testing approach, tooling, and propositions, while supporting the growth and professional development of the team. This role sits at the intersection of delivery, people, and practice development. This is what you bring

  • 2–4 years of experience in SAP testing and quality assurance within SAP implementation or transformation projects, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Experience supporting test management activities across different SAP project phases (e.g. SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live).
  • General understanding of SAP S/4HANA landscapes (Public and Private Cloud) and how testing supports end‑to‑end business processes.
  • Able to support the practice lead in the managing of the team, different client projects, RFPs processes, and positioning our SAP testing proposition.
  • Working knowledge of test tools and frameworks such as Tricentis Tosca, HP ALM, JIRA, Cloud ALM, Solution Manager ALM, or similar tooling.
  • Experience contributing to test documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication, with the ability to translate testing topics for non‑technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and supporting both client-facing activities and internal delivery teams.
  • Motivation to further develop yourself within SAP Test Management and contribute to the continuous improvement of KPMG’s SAP Testing services and propositions. Also work on the further establishments of our services. 
  • A completed academic (Master’s) degree, preferably in (Technical) Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Management, or a comparable field.
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
  • TMap or similar certification is a plus, but not required.

What will you do?

You are responsible for supporting SAP testing activities across all phases of SAP implementations and act as a key advisor to ensure proper test execution. You support customer discussions around SAP testing, contribute to proposal development as part of bid teams, and assist in managing testing activities within SAP projects. In this role, you work closely with the main test or practice lead and help ensure effective application of test methodologies and tooling within projects. 
 
You support project-level test management and act as a subject-matter expert for SAP testing, serving as a sparring partner for colleagues within the team. Together with the lead, you contribute to further professionalising SAP test management services and strengthening the overall SAP Testing offering. 

Within the testing area you will primarily support and contribute to: 

  • Test Strategy & Design: Support the definition and execution of test strategies for various stages of SAP projects with clients. Assist in organising functional and non-functional test requirements, contributing to test plans, and monitoring progress. Support the definition of phase entry and exit criteria and collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to enable testable systems. You assist in coordinating and guiding user testing activities such as unit testing, SIT, UAT, and go-live smoke testing. 
  • Automation & Tooling: Support the development and execution of test automation strategies and proof of concepts using tools such as Tricentis Tosca, HP ALM, JIRA, Cloud ALM, and related solutions. You contribute to testing non-functional requirements and help ensure consistent and effective use of test tooling across SAP projects. 

You work in multidisciplinary teams delivering improvements for national and international clients and help drive quality outcomes across SAP programmes. You support test delivery within projects across different sectors, where S/4HANA Private and Public Cloud and related SAP solutions form the core IT landscape. Successful execution of test activities, aligned with agreed strategies and standards, is a shared responsibility between you and the lead test manager. 
 
You also contribute to knowledge sharing within the team and support the development of colleagues by coaching and advising on SAP testing and test management practices. You work on the positioning and further development of our servics and positioning. This includes commercial aspects like supporting the practice lead with RFP's.
