Lead Data Engineer

Your challenges
- Support multiple clients and projects at the same time
- Manage the project teams from content perspective
- Designing robust data transformations and platforms
- Designing and implementing data architectures for clients
- Building effective large-scale processing pipelines
- Do R&D to continuously update our technology stack
This is what you bring
- Relevant experience in combination with managing several data (engineering) projects at the same time
- At least 6 years’ experience working as a data engineer
- Client advising skills
- Self-starting team player with good communication skills
- Programming experience with an object-oriented language (e.g. Scala or Python)
- Familiar with big data tools and Cloud environments
- Familiar with designing and implementing data processing architectures
What will you do as
Lead Data Engineer?
Your job includes advising our clients on the design, implementation and assessment of data transformations and data platforms – both batch and streaming. This means you will work closely together with other data engineers, data scientists, project managers, clients and other stakeholders from a content perspective. You will use the latest design principles to ensure effective and efficient data processing pipelines.
Next to the client facing work you will also help to take the data engineering practice to the next level, mentoring and guiding colleagues and being the driver behind research and development. We take increasing the knowledge of the team so seriously that 20 percent of your working hours are reserved to personal R&D!!
