This is what you bring

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing.
  • You have completed a master's degree in accountancy (preferably RA).
  • You have a professional attitude, a curious mindset, and the ability to consistently challenge audit teams in a supportive manner.
  • You possess strong analytical skills, work with precision, and are well-organized.

What will you do as
Audit Business Approver?

As an Audit Business Approver in QRMG at KPMG, you have a challenging and diverse role. In this position, your main focus is on managing the acceptance process of new audit clients from a risk management perspective. You will work closely with a team of auditors whom you will challenge on their assessments. Acting on behalf of the QRMG partner audit, you will review client and engagement acceptances after thorough discussions with the engagement teams. The cases you will handle are diverse and challenging, and you will collaborate with various teams and colleagues, making each day unique.

 

In addition to the acceptance process, improving all risk management processes is an important aspect of your role. You contribute to enhancing the accessibility of complex risk management processes and procedures for the audit teams. You are the go-to person for the engagement team regarding risk management questions and will guide them in this area. Furthermore, you contribute to the maintenance and updates of all tools and templates used, as well as the implementation of components of the ISQM-1 system. After the implementation, you will ensure the optimal functioning of the system.

 

The QRMG department consists of different specialized teams that are dedicated to managing risks in various areas on a daily basis. The department is constantly evolving due to changes in laws and regulations, societal changes, and the continuous pursuit of process improvement. As an Audit Business Approver, you will be part of a team consisting of a partner and four senior managers. These senior managers lead a group of managers from the Audit practice who provide support in the acceptance process. You will collaborate with multiple departments, including the Audit practice, Legal department, DPP, and various other teams within the QRMG department.
